Locally owned and operated, HEADLINERS MUSIC HALL is the premiere live entertainment venue of Louisville, Kentucky. We bring the best local and national acts to our stage, with fantastic sound and a fun atmosphere. We’ve had the privilege of hosting some amazing rock, metal, acoustic, hip-hop, and alternative bands such as My Morning Jacket, Trampled By Turtles, Neko Case, OK Go, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Umphrey’s McGee, Old Crow Medicine Show, Kings of Leon, Shovels & Rope, Girl Talk, Ice Cube, Houndmouth, Lindsey Buckingham, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Disclosure, Alt-J, Moon Taxi, Charles Bradley, Tame Impala, Dr. Dog, The Lone Bellow and more!
The music hall where Headliners resides was originally used as a cafeteria for the bottling facility that surrounded it. During prohibition, the building was used as a rehearsal hall for the big bands that played the Seelbach and Brown hotels on the weekends. During this time, the public was allowed to watch the bands practice, and drink “medicinal” bourbon that was bottled on the property.
The decorative murals that adorn our walls date back to 1939, and were commissioned by the National Distillers Product Corporation. The initials NDPC are visible on some of the murals.
With our old school charm, great acoustics, and amazing bands you would be hard-pressed to find a better music venue in Louisville.

How can I purchase tickets?
Advanced tickets can be purchased at www.headlinerslouisville.com or www.etix.com. Box office hours are Monday – Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm EST. For over the phone sales please call 502.584.8088. Please note on show days the box office will reopen at doors.
What is your photo policy?
The standard photo policy is point-and-shoot cameras only, basically, if it fits in your pocket you can bring it in. Typically, no audio or video devices are allowed; however, we always defer to the artists policies on cameras and audio/video devices, which means these restrictions may be lifted or strengthened. We do not know the photo policy for a specific show until the day of the event.
Do I need a photo ID?
Yes. Most shows at Headliners are 18 and up, so you must have an ID to prove you are at least 18, however, we occasionally have other shows that are All Ages, in which case you will not need your photo ID to get into the show, unless you will be consuming alcohol.
Why aren’t all your shows all ages?
Government restrictions on all ages crowds and serving alcohol, the insurance and security costs of producing an all ages event are extremely high….. as much as we would like to do all ages shows, we do them when applicable, but unfortunately we’d never make it if every show was all ages.
If I am underage I attend an 18 and over show with a parent or guardian?
No. Nobody under 18 is permitted in the venue for an 18 and over show.
The show is sold out, will you be releasing any tickets?
No. Some places do this, we don’t.
Do you provide seating?
Most shows are standing room only; however occasionally we have chairs and stools around the perimeter of the room available first come first served.
Will you call me a taxi?
Absolutely! Ask any staff or security person, and we will make it our priority. Cab service is reliable and steady, although it can take a little longer than larger cities. Please be patient!
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the lot next to the venue for $3 a car in the Distillery Commons parking lot. On-street parking is available after 6pm.
What should I do if I have a lost item?
We are not responsible for lost items. Please contact the venue Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm EST and we will do our best to locate it for you.
Is there food?
Is smoking allowed?
No, however there is a smoking area located outside. Note: e-cigarettes are NOT allowed in the venue either.
Do you allow re-entry?
Yes. You must have a stamp which you will receive when you exit the venue.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Do you all recycle?
Yes we do! We have recently transitioned all of our bottled beers to canned beers in an effort to not only help the environment, but to give back to the great city of Louisville that we live in. Together with the University of Louisville, we are now recycling all of our Aluminum cans and, in addition, 100% of the proceeds will go to fund scholarships and programs that benefit University of Louisville students!
