10th Street Dre delivers rhythmically driven, societally-reflective streams of consciousness over soul funk-alt loops. Trust, we know how it sounds but sonically The Ministry of Truth nails a bullseye right in between James Brown and the Wu-Tang Clan. With turntables, two gritty guitars, drums, bass and honesty, “The Ministry” left a strong impression during their local debut at the Louisville Palace, where they provided support for My Morning Jacket on night 4 of the Rock God’s historic 5 night run.
