Screams of Silent Cinema – Surreal Short Films with Live Music
Fully Reserved Seated Event Featuring live musical accompaniment to a selection of short films specially curated for the spooky season. Moonwatcher, a psychedelic and ambient loop artist utilizing a variety of unconventionally-played instruments, presents a trio of Edgar Allan Poe adaptations. Scotchamo, who performs lo-fi improvisational music and sound with found objects and other curiosities, plays alongside three by surrealist filmmaker pioneer Segundo de Chomon. Experimental electronic ensemble Strange Blue Juju takes on a 1911 adaptation of Dante’s “Inferno,” with the help of several members of Death Itself, who bring their gothic sensibilities to the set.
