Conceived in Denton Texas in 1996 as a scene-building exercise, Rock Lottery’s storied tradition returns to Louisville, KY by way of VHS or Beta’s Craig Pfunder. After a wildly successful three years and then worldwide pandemic, the Louisville community will once again unite for this unique day on Saturday January 11, 2025 where 25 handpicked local musicians will spend the day writing songs that will in turn be performed the very same night. These five bands chosen via lottery will have 12 hours to write three to four original songs and, if they wish, one cover song. At 10 p.m., all five bands return to Headliners Music Hall to perform those songs to an eager audience. Joining Rock Lottery 4 will be members of White Reaper, Bendigo Fletcher, Jaye Jayle, Doom Gong, The Daddy Sisters, The Jesse Lees, Future Killer, RELAAY, and many more. Proceeds will benefit the National Canine Cancer Foundation. Rickel, Amy Lee, Dave Givan, and Matt Pennington. Lacey is one of Louisville most prolific musicians; unstoppable in making and performing original music since her formative years in the duo group TWIN LIMB as well as her new collaborative group DUCHESS. Lacey’s brand new album FLOWER-EATING MONSTER was recorded and produced by Kevin Ratterman over a year ago and is finally seeing a physical 12 inch record release on the imprint FUTURE HEART WORKS. RUDE WEIRDO is not just a clever name, but a fitting description of everything that they do or don’t do. You know them and you love them.
