Please arrive early if you require assistance and we will attempt to accommodate you as best as we can.An Evening of Louisville and Kentucky Sounds and Music to benefit No More Red Dots with The Everybody Band and special guest The Char For over 10 years, an artist-made holiday concert has taken place at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville featuring over 30 musicians performing in a themed concert that gives proceeds and support to a local community organization. The shows are organized by drummer/vocalist Ray Rizzo (Motherlodge, Java Men, Josh Ritter, Back 2 Mac) and bassist Jimmy Brown (The Get Down, Bo Deco, Guitar Emporium). In 2022, Brown and Rizzo landed upon a theme for the shows that has endured : The Everybody Band, a fluid, one-night-only ensemble featuring multiple generations of musicians taking part in an ever-evolving set list of songs by Louisville and Kentucky music-makers. New bands are paid tribute to at each show, sometimes with the song’s makers sitting in: Greg Martin of Kentucky Headhunters playing guitar on Dumas Walker, Ethan Buckler and Amy Ritchie of King Kong singing Red Hot Lovin, and members of the Juggernaut Jug Band and Love Jones joining in on Everybody Band renditions of their songs. This inclusive dynamic of The Everybody Band has made their shows a you-had-to-be-there night of Louisville music and community that is welcoming to all generations and scenes. On December 22nd, The Everybody Band will play music of The Monarchs, White Reaper, Haven Gillespie, Loretta Lynn, Steve Ferguson, Days Of The New, Sun Ra, Cosmo and The Counts, My Morning Jacket, Government Cheese, Marion Sunshine, Kinghorse, Chris Stapleton, Fire The Saddle, and more. The Everybody Band lineup will include Sherry Edwards, Shannon Lawson, Shadwick Wilde, Roadie, Scott Mertz, Alanna Fugate, Scott Anthony, Caleb Leiva, Bill Dean, Heather Fox, Todd Hildreth, Gwennan Thomas, Butch Rice, Rebecca Minnick, Keith Lankford, Ray Rizzo, Jimmy Brown, Mike Smith and many more tba. The band will also be joined by Chuck Baxter whose band The Char (“quite possibly the most fun punk rock band in town” LEO) will open with songs from Kentucky bands like No Fun, Endtables, Babylon Dance Band, poor girls, Resurrected Bloated Floaters and more. The Everybody Band use the occasion of their large show gatherings to give support to forces that positively affect the Louisville community. A different organization is chosen for each show to amplify and support. The Everybody Band and The Char are proud to have the Dec. 22 concert support the work of No More Red Dots, a Louisville organization working to end gun violence and recidivism by providing impacted communities with programs, opportunities, and resources for individuals in need, and training organizations in NMRD risk reduction methods.
