RaiseRED is an 18-hour dance marathon held annually at the University of Louisville. The event has a year-round focus that raises awareness and funding for the children, families, and doctors fighting pediatric cancer and blood disease at UofL. Last year, more than 1,000 students raised over $349,000! We are aiming even higher for our fourth annual event with a fundraising goal of $550,000 and over 1,200 participants! 100% of the donations to RaiseRED directly benefit the work of Dr. Ken Lucas, Chair of the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at UofL. In years past, RaiseRED funding created a position for a much-needed social worker in the clinic, helped support Dr. Lucas’ research initiatives, and directly benefited patient needs.
