Here’s a list of some of my favorite places in Louisville & some tidbits. I have definitely recommended these places to more than a few musician friends passing through Louisville…
Guestroom Records – I played an in-store there once and Will Oldham strolled in with his sweet little dog. It was delightfully nerve- wracking… we hadn’t met at that point and I’ve always been such a fan of his songs.
Rainbow Blossom – The Auerbach’s are like a second family to me. I love everything about their stores. They once named a blue-cornbread mix after my album “Bluebird” and gave away a song with each one sold 🙂
21C – Every time I’m in Louisville I make sure to check out what’s new in the gallery and stand under the falling poem near the elevator. It’s good for the soul.
Gralehaus – For late nights and early mornings, and apparently everything in between- how cool that they have a B&B as well.
Actors Theater – I lived in NYC for over a decade and still missed Actors Theater. What an amazing place for new theater. I was lucky enough to stay in their artist housing one summer when I was writing my musical ROW about Louisville rower Tori Murden McClure.
Dawn Landes will be playing at Headliners on November 9 with Chris Stills. Tickets are available for purchase here—-> TICKETS
